The Story Behind Muddy Paws Adventures
Adventure called. We answered.
Back in 2019, Brad walked away from the world of boardrooms and brand meetings, leaving behind a successful career in marketing and advertising to chase something wilder — a life outdoors with his new Labrador retriever puppy, Odin.
Training Odin became more than a hobby. It turned into a passion. And along the way, Brad noticed something… there were tons of dog owners who had invested time and energy into training their dogs — but had nowhere to send them for care or exercise that truly respected that training.
Standard dog daycares weren’t cutting it. These dogs didn’t need babysitting. They needed purpose, adventure, and room to run.
So in 2020, Brad launched Muddy Paws Adventures — a unique dog adventure business that offered off-leash outings for well-trained pups. Every trip was customized around each dog’s abilities and training goals. One day it might be a mountain trail. The next, a lake swim or river fetch session. Rain or shine, Brad loaded up his custom-built Ford Transit dog adventure van, picked up his gear, and headed into the wild. He always returned the pups home tired, happy, and full of memories.
And yes — he captured it all on camera, turning each trip into an epic highlight reel on Instagram.
But there was a problem…
Most of the gear on the market just couldn’t keep up.
Cheap leashes frayed. Crates cracked. Collars reeked (gross) .
So Brad went on a mission: find and test gear that could survive the rugged wear-and-tear of real outdoor dog life.
After tons of trial and error, he finally stocked the MPA van with indestructible adventure gear: Biothane leashes, Ruff Land kennels, Dogtra e-collars and more — the real-deal stuff that worked just as hard as the MPA dogs did.
And that’s when it clicked.
Clients started asking, “Hey… where’d you get that?”
“Can I buy one of those for my dog?”
“Do you sell the stuff you use?”
So, with a little push from the community, Brad launched the Muddy Paws Adventures online store — a place where fellow adventurers and dog lovers could gear up with the exact products Brad, Odin, and Maverick use on their own journeys.
Today, Muddy Paws Adventures isn’t just a service — it’s a movement. It’s a call to every dog and human who craves the wild.
Because dogs weren’t made for couches and backyards — they were made for rivers, trails, and getting their paws dirty.
And we’re here to outfit them for the ride...
